  • Standard NiCd batteries for military applications requiring highly durable and reliable batteries for the most difficult mission and battlefield requirements.
  • Super NiCd batteries for aerospace and satellite missions.
  • Thermal batteries that can be stored for an extended period under severe environmental conditions and still meet the most difficult performance parameters (e.g., high shock, vibration, and spin).
  • Li-Ion batteries based on the company’s patented bipolar wafer cell technology. The highly efficient cell is designed to improve the use of space (i.e., maximize energy density), reduce battery recharge times, and improve environmental performance.

Electro Energy is developing an advanced, lightweight, rechargeable Lithium-ion battery for use in various aerospace applications. The unique materials, integrated with improved wafer cell technology, will be an ideal fit for applications requiring high reliability and performance.

The company is also working to integrate bipolar wafer Lithium-ion cells into batteries for tactical radios and other electronic equipment. The Electro Energy wafer cell can provide 60% more capacity, compared to the current batteries available, enabling troops to stay out in the field longer or take fewer batteries to perform the same functions before recharging.

The company has a dedicated manufacturing facility in Colorado Springs to support U.S. based manufacturing of all batteries for government projects. This 43,000 square foot facility is ISO 9000 and AS 9100 registered. The plant includes an M-7 level clean room and a 450 square foot dry room.

In addition to its breadth of products and U.S. based manufacturing capabilities, the company meets stringent government procurement requirements, such as approved government accounting systems and manufacturing quality control.
