  • $100,000 Order Received for 18650 Lithium-Ion Batteries  Electro Energy received multiple orders for their 18650 batteries from Lyntronics, Inc., a New York based battery packager, valued at over $100,000.  The order was for both EEI's 2.2 ampere hour USA18650AXC and 2.4 ampere hour USA18650BXC type rechargeable Lithium-Ion cells.  These orders were placed after successful completion of qualification testing at a U.S. Navy Research Laboratory.  The cells will be manufactured at EEI's manufacturing facility in Gainesville, FL.  Learn More

  • China Patent Electro Energy's Bipolar Rechargeable Battery patent portfolio has expanded to the People's Republic of China. The patent covers various aspects of EEI's bi-polar advanced rechargeable battery technology and is applicable to multiple battery chemistries used in Electro Energy's bi-polar design for rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) and Lithium Ion batteries.   • Selected as Partner in Georgetown Fuel Cell Bus Project  Electro Energy has been selected to supply a customized battery pack utilizing its patented Bipolar Wafer Cell Nickel Metal Hydride technology to the Georgetown University Methanol Fuel Cell Transit Bus Integration and Test Project.  Partnering with other distinguished team members to develop the bus design, as well as the battery and fuel cell integration and test plan, to deliver a methanol fuel cell transit bus.  Electro Energy will also provide engineering and technical expertise to the project.  Learn More
  • U.S. Army Contract Awarded  The U.S. Army has awarded Electro Energy an SBIR phase-two contract to continue development of low-cost, improved thermal batteries used in military applications.  Electro Eenrgy is developing process manufacturing techniques for the production of thermal battery electrodes and separators.  The two-year contract value is $729,991 and will be incrementally funded for FY08 and FY09, respectively.  Learn More

  • First Gainesville Order  Electro Energy received their first commercial battery order for their 18650BX rechargeable Lithium-Ion cells.
